The greatest asset of any organization is its people. That's why professional recruitment is of utmost importance. Recruiting the right people demands trained professionals with rich experience to analyze a "resume" and "read" a candidate during an interview.
OVERSEAS LABOUR SUPPLY (www.olsuae.com) is a pioneer in the overseas recruitment industry of the UAE and GCC starting operations in 1979 with over 125,000 workers recruited so far for our reputed clients in the following fields: Construction, MEP, Infrastructure, Roads & Bridges, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Facilities Management, Cleaning, Security, Oil & Gas and Retail industries.
We have our recruitment, training and testing facilities in the following countries from where we recruit professional, skilled, and unskilled workers : India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Romania, Albania and Canada.
The peak of recruitment being carried out from overseas for our clients happened in the first half of 2008, but when the financial crisis hit in August 2008 the recruitment industry in the UAE and GCC was badly hit, with almost 80% of the projects cancelled or suspended.
OLS felt the setback too after recruiting huge numbers like about 800 per month during the boom period, the quantity came down to about 200 per month in the later part of 2008, and the trend continued in 2009 and 2010. Slowly the confidence in the UAE market took root once again in the minds of international and local investors starting from 2011 and we saw slight increase in numbers, which kept growing in 2012 to about 300 per month, with 2013 and 2014 seeing a fair share of the recruitment market coming our way.
In 2014 we forayed into the CIS market bagging oil and gas recruitment projects in Uzbekistan which saw interviews being conducted in multiple cities all over India as well as in Bangladesh. Our clients Enter Engineering in Uzbekistan sent their large contingents of interviewers twice to India which resulted in the total recruitment of 1500 personnel within 6 months.
OLS is now in talks with with various oil & gas, and construction firms in Uzbekistan for fulfilling their manpower requirements as well.
The winning of rights by Dubai to hold the 2020 EXPO also was a shot in the arm for the Dubai construction industry, and presently OLS is catering to needs of such construction companies that are gearing up to take major portions of the development contracts starting in 2015.
